The Relevance of Enterprise Social Software to Modern Business

Coming in free form and inherently non-structural, social software is banking on the idea of collaboration. With this feature strength, it allows anyone in an enterprise to interact in ways that seem highly appropriate. Also regarded as a component of Enterprise 2.0 - a network of technologies that enable organizations to streamline their business systems and enhance collaboration - enterprise social software (ESS) takes the concept of intranet to a higher level.

enterprise model

Pointing to the enterprise landscape, a recent study by Gartner.com reveals that until 2015, 25% of enterprises will utilize social network analysis as part of their business and software strategies in an effort to improve business productivity and employee performance. In this regard, the research company recommends for the installation of easy-to-use ESS. Such tool that does not require rigid structures on users is deemed more helpful, coupled by visible, as well as strong, managerial support.

ENTERPRISE

Gartner also cites the significance, for organizations, to develop long-term business and software strategies to provision and consume a set of social software and collaboration services. The development of governing policies that control and monitor the utilization of consumer services for business purposes is also necessary. To achieve these goals, organizations can solicit ideas and information from the business community regarding the most helpful ESS form.

Enterprise social software eases communication among employees, while doubling as an alternative source of information. Adopted as part of business and software strategies, it provides opportunities for modern employees to carry on with their business tasks instead of being in a physical office for eight working hours. Essentially, business social software supports the recent trend of sociability - meaning workers and customers want to be "social" - which leads to the implementation of internal network software.

An ESS system in place also allows multi-site organizations and companies to make employees collaborate more efficiently, and substantially improve their international business marketing efforts. Enterprise social tools make it possible for an enterprise to achieve, on the employee level, better collaboration on projects, as well as efficient sharing of experience and knowledge by cutting through corporate structures and flattening out some unnecessary bureaucracy.

Enterprise social software also makes genuine engagement possible, be it with respect to communication in corporate social networks or online communities. Moreover, better accessibility to information also results from integrating enterprise social software with business and software strategies. With this concept implemented and applicable functionality obtained, timesaving is realized.

While the lack of structure in social software is its strong point, it can also be a weakness for organizations that replace their traditional processes and systems. In order to successfully implement it, the social enterprise software works by making it concurrently exist with structured platforms (its processes and systems). In essence, the enterprise social software should augment - rather than replace - the systems in place in an organization. When designed to work in conjunction with existing systems, enterprise social software can pave the way for more effective and practical operations.

The Relevance of Enterprise Social Software to Modern Business

International business marketing, when paired properly with first-rate business and software strategies, can be a great tool for enterprise success. It has the capability to bridge gaps between an organization and its clients.

The Rent-To-Own Business Opportunity and New Business Model

Many customers use their rent to own business opportunity to help establish credit for home ownership and help acquire a credit-worthy status. In fact, brokers and lenders around the country are beginning to use alternative scoring systems that factor in non-traditional scoring reports from national bureaus then mix in information that includes regular payment histories such as rent-to-own payments.

enterprise rental car

Rent-to-own fills a valuable economic niche in the marketplace and research indicates that RTO is used by a wide variety of consumers-from college students and military personnel to those who must relocate often or those who simply want the latest and greatest wide-screen TV for the big game this weekend. Yes, you pay more for rent-to-own. You pay more because you get more from the transaction. And in today's economy, market dynamics are driving rent-to-own prices down while keeping the same valuable services retail cannot provide.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL

Because the rent-to-own agreement is only valid for the payment at hand, the customer can change the terms and payments at any time for any reason. The customer is never obligated to make the next payment and can return the product at any time for any reason. This payment flexibility and no-obligation is the cornerstone of the rent-to-own industry and its popularity with millions of customers.

The growth of rent-to-own public companies and independent dealers is fueling competition in the marketplace creating many more payment options for the rent-to-own consumer. Many companies are offering three to six month rental agreement ownership options that are lowering rent-to-own prices. Again, the customer chooses the payment options and can change it at any time for any reason very easily with rto online. If a customer chooses a fewer number of payments, the rent-to-own price is significantly lower and is competitive to retail. If the customer chooses a higher number of payments, the total cost will be more than retail. At the end of each rental agreement, the customer can either terminate the agreement without any cost or obligation, renew the contract by making another advance rental payment, change the rental agreement terms with a different payment or execute his or her early purchase option to obtain ownership of the product. Rentals can be for one week, two weeks or one month at a time. If the rental agreement is renewed a prescribed number of times-usually a total period of 12 to 24 months-the customer obtains ownership of the item.

At every rental agreement, the customer is told in writing and orally the total dollar amount and number of rental payments he or she will have made by the time ownership is an option. These consumer disclosures are mandated by 47 state rent-to-own laws. The overwhelming majority of customers do not pursue the ownership option. Approximately 75 percent return the rented item within the first four months or exercise the early purchase option; fewer than 25 percent rent long enough to own the item. If the customer returns the product during payments, the customer can re-instate his or her payment history within a specific time period governed by state law. Many rent-to-own companies offer lifetime reinstatement rights through their rent to own web sites.
Because renters pay as they go, and no credit is extended, credit reports on customers are not obtained and no debt is incurred. Previously rented items are refurbished and re-rented at reduced rates.

The Rent-To-Own Business Opportunity and New Business Model

The rent to own business opportunity is actually a new model of doing business, facilitated by the internet. The ease of rto online and the proliferation of rent to own web sites shows the remarkable rise in interest in the rto business model as the wave of the future.

To make sure you can get trademark privileges in a name you should:
opt for a distinctive make and logo that is unlike any other identify, or company logo on your market; have specific searches conducted through a seasoned trade mark searcher to verify which the label is actually accessible for both use and registration nationally; get a trademark application submitted as soon as the title is cleared to be sure no other puts in an identical application and obtains precedence over the application.

A company manager who may be organising a global business would need to sign-up the trademark globally. Because there is no such thing as a World-wide trademark subscription, a business manager will have to seek advice from his particular trademark consultant options for guarding the mark in applicable areas.

When a company brand or company logo is authorized in Australia (for example), the protection is Australia-wide and endures for a duration of ten years which enable it to be renewed consistently when the mark is still made use of.

The specialist can complete the application and ensure the crucial dates coming up through the 8 month period won't be missed so the application remains legitimate. A specialist will also recognize the kind of trademark security a business will need and may provide a businessman good advice around the protection of the relevant items and services so the business enterprise has got flexibility in the future small business while using the trademark and/or logo.

The approval method in most cases take a minimum of about 8 months before a trademark can be recorded. After the Trade Marks Office takes the actual trademark for registration, it ought to be officially advertised for three months before final approval is provided. In the event that no-one opposes application with the trademark, then your official registration payment may be paid for and a formalised Certificate of Registration will issue.

Though it will take considerable time and work to trademark an enterprise name or logo, the advantages over-shadow the price tag. Once the name and logo design are recorded, the business enterprise operator:
has unique privileges to utilize the mark nationally; can licence the effective use of it to a alternative party; can easily halt rivals from copying their particular brand.

Take time to meticulously go with a brand and/or logo, and then register for trademark registration to safeguard it. It is a sensible business move you won't ever be sorry for.

Trademark Registration: Is Your Business Enterprise Brand and Logo Design Properly Defended?

When you think about what is at stake, the relatively low cost to trademark a business name or trademark a logo is not a lot to pay for the peace of mind and the ability to be able to stop a competitor from taking or trading off your good business name. ENTERPRISE RENTAL

Do Some Research First

First, it's important for prospective limo rental owners to do a lot of research into what type of limousines you want to have. This also means that you should begin to check on the various vehicle designs and types, and decide if you prefer having a single standard vehicle, like a Lincoln or a Chrysler, or do you want one that you can modify yourself and create into the vehicle of your choice.

You also need to compare what you want in a vehicle, and to what other companies in your area have for their vehicles as well. In addition, also verify what your potential clients are going to prefer. There is no reason at all to buy a a fleet of vehicles that are not the style that your clients are going to like, as this would not be a good way to succeed in this kind of field.

Verify If You Need To Buy Or Lease Your Vehicles

The next move, is to determine whether if you can afford to buy your vehicles, or if you are going to be forced to lease them for the meantime. From then on, you also need to consider the cost for additional mileage that can be added on as part of the lease, as this could be a very real expense that will likely incur a lot of expense in the long run.

You also need to budget ahead of time when you are comparing figures, in order to make the best decision that you can afford while still ensuring that you keep your business profitable, and be able to find out exactly what hidden costs are included in the lease before you actually sign the lease agreement.

Verify What Licenses And Requirements Are Needed

You also need to spend some time following up on the various requirements needed to operate your business. Such as the license and permits, and these may differ with each town or city. You should know all of this information before you actually purchase or lease the limousines in case you encounter some problems in the approval process, which could postpone or possibly derail your limousine rental service. .

Find Good, Knowledgeable Staff

Once you have completed all the licensing requirements, as well as acquired the types of vehicles to use, it's now time to decide on looking for your drivers, and training them. As you want to make sure that your staff should be well-trained and have the appropriate licenses to legally drive the vehicles, you also need to verify the previous driving records of your personnel, as you do not want to hire someone who has a previous bad habit of driving, to work for your limousine rental service.

Determine Your Operating Expenses

Once you've already obtained the licenses, and trained your staffers, your final task is to determine what your operating expenses are going to include. Normally, this will include vehicle insurance, taxes, oil, gas, staff wages and other indirect expenses. With a lot good planning and research, you should be able to avoid the pitfalls of running this business, and ensure a successful operation.

Start Your Own Stork Rental Business

Have you ever felt irritated or stressed out because of your job? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be your own boss, make your own schedule and still benefit financially? I have a suggestion for those interested: A yard sign rental business, or stork rental, as many call it.

enterprise rental car

Before you make a decision to run your own business in this field, let me tell you a few things about owning a sign rental financial activity. Lawn signs are fun displays that you can rent out for different occasions - like weddings, birthdays, child birth announcement, graduation parties and so on. Usually lawn signs are personalized for each person and event. Lawn signs come in many shapes, sizes, colors and themes. So whether it's stork signs for birth announcements, birthday yard signs for birthday parties or a wide variety of other yard cards for celebrating the happy moments in your life, owning a sign rental business reaches a wide spectrum of customers looking to make a special announcement in a big way.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL

With this basic stork rental and all-occasion sign rental activity know-how presented, let's get down to serious stuff. One of the reasons why this is an ideal business is because it can be a home based business. This aspect makes it desirable for many people -- including mothers who have children to take care of. It allows them to replace a stressful, full time job for one that provides a good income, enough time to look after children and creates that unique relaxing feeling of working for yourself. Another strong point of the stork sign rental is more like a spiritual one. This activity brings happiness and joy into the customers' hearts. Considering that the signs are used to mark happy events, the customers will come smiling to you before and after the yard cards are rented. By having happy clients, the general climate that surrounds your business is a very favorable one. A happy expecting mother often does not focus on your fees, but more often focuses on the design of your stork signs and the quality of your services.

Stork rental activity is, in general, a local business. You will need to promote your business wisely by any means you can and the Internet is a good place to start. Having a good optimized website that offers concise information about your company helps a lot, but you must target the surroundings. There is no need to find a customer 1,000 miles from your point if you don't distribute stork signs that far. You must do all that's possible to dominate the area you are located in. With high quality signs and a good marketing strategy it is easy to start gaining a strong customer base quickly.

The return on investment in the stork rental industry is nevertheless unexpectedly high. Renting your stork signs and lawn greetings also means that you are not selling products, but services. Before you begin to offer your services you will need to purchase high quality sign display. By renting and reusing your sign you do not have to constantly invest money into purchasing new signs which generates more income for the stork rental company owner.

Now that we have shown you the advantages of this business, you may think twice about what you are doing with your "ready to invest" money. Choosing the best business idea, along with putting efforts and dedication into it is what separates the top earners from everybody else.

Start Your Own Business - What Does It Take?

Lots of people have the dream of owning their own business, but they get bogged down in the details of how to go about it. While this article isn't meant to serve as a complete business start-up guide, it will give you an idea of some steps to take.

1.Entities

ENTERPRISE RENTAL COUPONS

The two most important professionals you will need to begin are a lawyer and an accountant. The lawyer can help you decide if you want to be a corporation, partnership, sole proprietorship, or some other type of company. A good accountant can help you make the decision based on what will be most advantageous for you from a tax angle. Your lawyer can also help you register your business and get the licenses and permits you need.

2.Make a Business Plan

You need to get a business professional to help you writ a business plan. You will need one to help you get organized and to help keep your goal in mind. This could be anything from serving hot dogs to people outside your home to providing technical support. Either way, you need a plan that sketches out how to proceed and an estimate of how much money you will need.

3.Get Financing

How much start-up money will you need? Do you have the savings? Do you have friends who would want to invest? Do you need a Loan? Whatever your plan is, you will need to present a copy of your business plan to bankers or investors if you need to loan money to get the company rolling.

4.A Record-keeping System

A good accountant can advise you on the best record keeping software for your business, and help you set up a system for keeping track of payables, receivables, sales tax, payroll, employee benefits, and so forth. You will rely on the accountant for at least your yearly return, and possibly for quarterly payroll and sales tax returns. Your accountant can also get you an EIN number (Employer Identification Number).

5.Location

Depending on your business, location may be important. If you are not going to run it from your own home, location can make or break you - and the rent is due no matter which way the tables turn. You will also need to get a phone, get the utilities turned on, install your furniture and equipment, and get a sign or two.

6.Accounts with Credit Card Companies

You will need to invest in a method for checking the validity of debit and credit cards.

7.Employees

You may not need to do this step if you are a one-person operation. Maybe you can get by with just one part-time person to answer phones and do some paperwork. It just depends on your business. You will need to have them complete various forms for the IRS, and you may want to run a background check.

8.Promote your Business

Is My Business A Hobby, Job, or Profitable Enterprise?

Is your business a hobby? Is it a job? Or is it truly a profitable business? What are you doing to guarantee its success?

enterprise pizza cutter

In order for a business to be successful, you must first be profitable! You can not stay in business for a long time, unless you are making a profit! Most business owners will try to expand at the wrong time. Sometimes, they do not create a niche and try to serve everybody! At times, they may fail to define their uniqueness. Often, most business owners never develop a system or a competent independent team that will support them or the company! The company is doomed for failure unless, they first complete the basic steps outlined above.

ENTERPRISE

Where do you stand in these critical areas?

Successful entrepreneurs must create value by being profitable, creating a niche, and communicating how their business is unique and different from its competitors! Additionally, they must create a comprehensive system and develop a team! Lastly, successful entrepreneurs should expand the business at the right time! Some business owners want to open a second office across the city or state. Others, want to spend more money, buy more equipment, add new business services and hire more people before the sales materialized. Be careful and not grow too fast!

Does this sound like you?

Consequently, entrepreneurs never can sell their business because they have not created any value! They are the business! When they leave, the business will not sustain itself. It will die!

Surprisingly, some people do not concentrate on their business numbers and key performance indicators!

How many leads do you have? What is your conversion rate? What is your average sale? How many sales have you made this year? What is your profit margin?

Just because you open your doors for business, does not guarantee that people will do business with you!

Many business owners begin with big dreams but, do not build the necessary foundation to succeed! New and experienced owners get too immersed in the day-to-day activities. Often, they are too close to the business and can not see the things that are needed to improve the company.

Sometimes, they concentrate on the wrong activities! First, some business owners spend too much time on "busy work" and not enough time on profit making and sales generating activities. Second, they spend too much time networking with little return-on-investment. Instead, they should work on activities that will directly increase sales! Third, they spend too much money on advertising and not enough money on their people! Last, they spend a lot of time on lead generation activities with prospects when, they should focus more time with their clients! Entrepreneurs must learn more about their client's industry, needs, challenges and their competition!

How can you become a greater resource and an asset for your clients?

As business people spend time running the business, it is as important to dedicate time to review their results, assess the critical areas of their business and make corrections to improve it! Stay connected to your clients. Invite them to your company events and activities. Pick up the telephone and call them. Send them emails. Do a survey. Ask your clients how you can support them in their business? Create services that will help your clients be more profitable and productive. Make an effort to spend at least an hour every week to monitor your current results and plan for the future! Successful entrepreneurs must learn to "step back" and look at the "big picture" This will help you become more proactive instead of reactive!

If you can not answer the above questions openly and honestly, you have more work to do! Perhaps, you do have a hobby and not a profitable enterprise!

If you can not answer the above questions, perhaps you do have a hobby and not a profitable enterprise!

Starting A Car Rental Business In Charlotte

Charlotte, the largest city of North Carolina, is renowned for its banking and financial industry. It is the home of several Fortune 500 companies as well as being a motor sport center.

enterprise rental car

Car rentals are very useful especially for companies to hire or lease cars for their employees, to provide pick-up and drop services.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL

Start-Up Details of a Car Rental Business:

Any business venture has to be carefully examined and analyzed to determine the feasibility of the idea. Research and analysis of the competitors can help you accurately arrive at a conclusion if the venture is viable or not. Determine a location to begin the business and study it extensively to find out if there is a demand for the rental business, if so the extent of the demand. Find out who rents cars, individuals or enterprises.

It will help if you gave your business a legal structure, select an appropriate name, and register it. This gives you limited liability protection. You will also require a good insurance coverage. So shop around and get a good coverage from a reputed agency.

It will be necessary to have certain licenses and permits in order to operate a car rental business. Get the necessary information by consulting an attorney.

Carefully list the vehicles you will rent and estimate start-up costs as well as initial expenses. If you are short of funds, carefully prepare a loan application.

Select an ideal location for your business, make sure the lease is a long-term gross lease, and check if the zoning restrictions are followed. Perhaps you will require an office in a commercial area and a garage to house all your cars, if necessary, in another location that is not too far away.

Figure out the services you will provide and the rates you will charge, the durations of the lease minimum and maximum. Be sure to maintain and services your fleet of vehicles periodically.

Hire necessary staff as per the needs of your business. Make sure they are qualified for the job they have to perform and that their performance is assessed. You could buy certain products available to help new entrepreneurs like you run their business successfully.

Advertise your service in all media such as newspapers, radio, TV, magazines, direct calling clients. Have a Web site listing your fleet of cars and the services you provide and the rates you charge. Make sure your firms brochures are available in tourist centers and hotels and are listed in the yellow pages. You could also use a rent-to-own option, as it will take care of the problem of disposing used cars, which seem to have no market value. Target corporate clients by direct calling, by having a representative meet them and explain the benefits of using your services etc.

If under good management, a car rental business can be a good business venture.

Four Great Marketing Tips For a Bounce House Rental Business

A bounce house rental business is easy to market because your product is big, fun and colorful.  You should use these qualities to your advantage.  What follow here are some simple and not too expensive tips to help you market your inflatables.

car rental coupons

Business Cards

RENTAL COUPONS

The first marketing strategy is to have some business cards printed.  You can easily do this from your personal desktop or you can have them printed.  Keep in mind the power of a bright and colorful photo of a bounce house and the message that will send to your potential customers.  You will want to include your business name, your phone number, email address and your website if you have one.

A business card can be printed on two sides so do not feel like you have to cram everything onto one side.  One great marketing strategy is to print a discount coupon on the back of the card.  People who have an interest in your business will have a good reason to keep your card.

Distributing your cards is very important.  Leave them at places where parents go.  You can leave a few on a table at McDonalds, Chucky Cheese or any other family style restaurant.  Bulletin boards at the supermarket, Laundromat or gym work well too.

Ask if you can place your cards in the goody bag at the birthday parties where your bounce house will be rented.  Give them out where ever you can.

Bounce House Banners

Most inflatables will come with banner space.  Make sure that you take advantage of this very important element.  When your bounce house is being rented, it is very visible. That banner space should be considered as very valuable real estate.  You should have a web page and place that web address on the banner along with your phone number.  This will help a potential customer identify who you are and how to contact you.

Market With You Vehicle

As you start to rent out your bounce house inflatables, you will be doing a lot of driving to and from rental locations.  Get your car to give back to you.  You can attach magnetic signs on to your car that have your logo and contact information on them.  They will come in pairs so you can have one on the driver side and the passenger side.

When you really get serious, you can have your vehicle professionally screen painted for some highly effective impact.

Goody Bag Marketing

When you are in the bounce house rental business, a large part of your business will be birthday parties.  Every child that attends a birthday party where your inflatable makes an appearance is a potential candidate for the next rental.  By simply printing up some colorful bags with your contact information discretely placed, you should be able to offer them to the grateful mom who books the rental.  You can print a discount coupon on the bag or place one inside.  They will eventually find their way into the homes of the children who attended that party.

Mobile Car Washing and Doing Business With Hertz Rent-A-Car

If you own a mobile car washing or mobile auto detailing business then may I suggest to you finding new clientele in the car rental agency business? Why do I recommend this? Well personally having been in the fleet car and truck washing business for almost 3 decades it has served me well cleaning for rental car agencies. Many small auto detailers and mobile car wash operators have not tapped into this niche because they do not really understand it.

enterprise rental car

To get started I recommend looking thru the phone book and seeing which car rental agencies exist in your area of service or city. You will also need to get a quick education in how car rental agencies work and the history behind the industry. Lets take Hertz Rent-a-Car for instance and talk about doing business with Hertz Rent-A-Car. You see, Hertz is the oldest car rental company in the world and each car rental corporation has a unique history which you should study before going in to make the sales call.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL

Believe it or not it was started in 1918 by a guy named Walter Jacobs who had 12 Model Ts'. He was only 22 at the time. He sold his business to John Hertz also President of Yellow Cab and Yellow Truck and Coach Manufacturing. In 1967 Hertz became a subsidiary of RCA Corp. Hertz later was sold to UAL and then was sold to Ford Motor Company's newly formed Park Ridge Corp. Volvo joined in with funds later in 1988. Hertz was transferred to Ford Motor Company from its subsidiary Park Ridge in 1993. Hertz has also made friends with AAA Club, is recommended by them and gives cardholders up to 15% off. American Express Car Holders also get the same satisfaction. If you are a small business, your Chamber of Commerce also has incentives. Hertz has come along way since 1918.

Today Hertz is a powerhouse with 377 Hertz Equipment Rental Offices (largest in the world), represented in 140 countries with 7000 worldwide rental car offices, 4600 rental offices in the US and Canada, 300 used car sales locations and 488 truck rental locations. Hertz has been able to put their locations in high-end car repair facilities prototypes such as AAA Car Care Center in Sacramento CA and JoeAuto's prototype facility in West Houston TX. They have put locations in BART train stations in San Francisco and in many large car dealerships that sell Ford Products. They have pick up and delivery service in over 600 locations in answer to Enterprise Rent-A-Car's market share advances.

Hertz has opened what they call 'Superette' car sales offices in many large cities to handle all of their sales in metro areas. Instead of Enterprises or Budget's strategy of smaller 60-100 car facilities spread around the town. I have been to a Superette Facility in Houston. Hertz Car Sales offices boast of being able to offer hassle free car sales, complete online records of maintenance, huge inventories (the Superette we toured had over 350 cars), factory warranties from manufacturers on most cars, limited 12,000 mile/1 year warranty on all others, competitive financing through FMC. They are serious about selling their cars for a high price and delivering high levels of service, so a mobile car wash company makes a great fit on their organization.

Hertz has an excellent fleet program for companies who wish to buy one year old Ford cars or trucks for their business all backed with Ford Motor Credit Loans or Smart leases by Ford. This program also has a claims service to go with it and a small business insurance package with low rates. You as a mobile car wash company might be interested in this as a way to expand your fleet if you like using Ford products. This program may change in the future if Ford divests itself from such non-core business models. Their truck rental business is similar to Penske, Ryder, U-Haul and Budget's truck rental services with packaging materials available or just a truck to use for a day for business purposes or deliveries. We have seen Hertz, Enterprise, Penske and Ryder Trucks at Fed Ex offices during Christmas Holidays to help service demand. And we have even washed them, since Fed Ex refuses to show up in a dirty vehicle to deliver packages. Fed Ex and other small package delivery services are a target for such truck rental companies, since they often rent the trucks for as long as a month at a time.

For locations of Hertz Equipment go to their web site at:

http://www.hertzequip.com

For locations of Hertz Truck Rentals:

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/byr/index.jsp?
targetPage=browseLocationView.jsp&leftNavUserSelection=globNav_3_1

For Hertz Rental Offices and Car Sales Locations to market to go to:

https://www.hertz.com/rentacar/index.jsp?
targetPage=reservationOnHomepage.jsp

The wonderful thing about working with Hertz is you can detail their used cars for sale, wash the sales lots, clean their rental cars, wash their heavy equipment, clean the concrete at their shops or wash the trucks they rent to customers. So when expanding your clientele and commercial accounts, I recommend rental agencies and of course Hertz is as good a place to start as any. So perhaps you will consider all this in 2006.

How to Make Your Business Profitable

Selling and making a profitable business happen is not rocket science. All that is required is a strong vision, good strategy, never say die attitude and the ability to go on against all odds will certainly get you there and have the cash registers ringing. You do not need a huge advertising budget for doing this.

Depending upon your product or service, you have to first identify and detail your customer profile and segment. For example if you are selling vacuum cleaners, obviously teenagers would not be your customers. If you are selling online music, you could have all sorts of people lining to buy the music.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL COUPONS

Make sure you capture the profile, the lifestyle, income, age group and buying behavior etc of your customers in detail. The more details you gather would be better for your marketing exercise. If you are targeting to open a fashion boutique for women, then zero in on the women's group that is likely to be the target customer.

Even from amongst the general segment like for example ladies, you would have to specify the age group as well as their income, past buying records etc. If your boutique is going to stock only formal wear in a particular size, then obviously you would target only those women who fit into the size and who are working.

Whether you are a small business enterprise servicing your local town or an online company targeting global or national markets, knowing your customer profile, where he is located is required for you to be able to reach across to him through advertisements.

By knowing your target audience you can spend the advertisement budget wisely to reach only to them. What is the point of advertising T-shirts and shorts for teens in a magazine meant for elderly citizens? On the other hand if you can advertise your products in the fashion style magazines, which caters to the teenage audience, you will certainly hit the target.

You can be very innovative and creative with your advertisements. One of the catchy ideas you could use would be to offer a discount coupon through the advertisement. You will most certainly be able to get customer response and build a pipeline of leads for conversion. A bold advertisement with the free discount coupon is bound to attract the target audience.

All the above activities and other sales generation activities will surely help you build a customer base with which you can work to convert them into sales for your product. Further more you can invest on building customer relationship management to ensure your customer base keeps increasing and they remain loyal to your products.

Difficult Times in Business - Best Practices to Survive and Thrive

Joseph P. Kennedy, American executive, businessman and father of John F. Kennedy once said, "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". These are words of inspiration for all of us as we face an economic environment that is unstable. As Americans, we have been through tough times before but with perseverance, hard work, attitude, and the love of the American Dream, we have endured as a nation. The cost of energy, the upcoming presidential election, the war, a volatile stock market, and a downturn in the housing market are all factors that are causing American businesses and consumers to operate in an environment of fear. But my challenge to all the readers of this newsletter, and there are thousands of you, is to seek the opportunities in all of these factors that, on the surface, can be perceived as negative operating conditions. Opportunities exist all around us if we only take the time to think creatively. As a market research firm, Market Viewpoint recently did a survey of consumers to find out what factors contribute to the decision to make a purchase. The top factor, constituting 20% of the responses, was price and value. This comes as no surprise as more of our income is being put into our gas tanks. Consumers are being more discriminating when it comes to spending and they want to be assured that they are getting the most for their dollar. Companies who take the time to point out the value added component of their products or services in their advertising and sales presentations will do well. Seventeen percent (17%) of those responding in our survey want variety and choice, with 13% craving convenience and access. The remaining 50% of the responses fall into the smaller categories of cleanliness, security, comfort, atmosphere, etc.

From this survey, we also came up with the top 7 best practices for challenging times:

ENTERPRISE RENTAL COUPONS

7. Freebies - People love getting free "stuff" - Some of the things you give away may be things from your stock room that would not sell but customers might appreciate getting them for free. Don't forget to make use of coupons and discounts.

6. Consumer Pampering - Develop an entire campaign around the economy and let your customers know that you understand what they are going through with activities that pamper. One of our clients in the retail industry offered coffee and donuts in his store in the morning and chair massages in the afternoon on his weekly "Day of Pampering". Sales jump on the day he offers these little extras.

5. Exchange Service and Cooperative Advertising - Many companies are engaging in cooperative advertising to help cut marketing costs. Consider working with a firm that offers complimentary services and design a marketing campaign that benefits both organizations.

4. Mystery shop - Rapidly changing times call for constant monitoring. One client of ours increased the number of telephone mystery shops they do each month knowing that more customers will be making use of the phone to get information as a way to save on gas.

3. Go Green! - More and more customers are looking for ways to do business with and invest in companies that are environmentally aware. Develop a plan and communicate your approach to your target market. One of our clients uses a catchy little "green" tag line on all of their email signatures to let their customers know they are doing their part against global warming.

2. Be aggressive with your marketing - This is no time to cut back on the marketing budget. Studies have been conducted that show businesses that cut back on marketing during economic downturns make less revenue that businesses that don't.

1. Hire and maintain a staff that is knowledgeable with people skills - Consumers want to feel respected. If your staff rates low on product knowledge, you will lose consumer confidence. Hire creative, talented people who can connect with your customers one-on-one.

True leaders emerge from difficult situations. Be innovative and creative. Manage wisely what you can control and you will ride the wave to the next upswing!

Do You Know The Strategies Of Cost Saving For Business?

Cost Saving Strategies for Business

Cost cutting is one of the most important parts of effective business strategies. Saving money is one of the best ways to make more money. Keeping the costs under control should be one of the basic goals of any businessperson, small or big.

ENTERPRISE RENTAL COUPONS

However, the relevance of cost cutting becomes more pertinent in the case of small and medium businesses. Keeping costs under control can increase profits. Moreover, it also saves valuable time for the entrepreneurs.

Cutting the Wrong Expenses

It is necessary to distinguish between the expenses that are right and wrong. Naturally, for getting the best results, the first step is to do away with the wrong expenses. Such steps will be the right way of ensuring better financial standards for the enterprise.

Effective Steps for Cutting Costs

Some of the steps for cutting costs are-
• Contracting or outsourcing jobs that do not require full time work.
• Hiring temporary employees for seasonal positions so that more people can be hired all year round when needed.
• Assigning multiple responsibilities to each employee can really help.
• Using computer software for bookkeeping could also help.
• Each employee should have a full day of work.
• Lower positions would be required to run the business.
• It may be possible to get free labor from the universities.

Eliminating Products and Services is Unprofitable

It will be good for everyone to review the products that are carried and the services that are offered. Examining the profit margins will help identify products with smaller margins. Such products can be dispensed with in favor of expensive products.

Attending Local Seminars Can Help

Travel costs for seminars, conferences, and trade shows will add up considerably. Cutting back on these expenses can be made possible by organizing local events. One can also find any information that is required by way of CDs and on websites. Putting files on the storage server will also help. Files that are to be kept for the long term can be stored away from the office. One of the ideal storage places is an external storage facility.

Cutting Utility Expenses

One has to cut back on the utility expenses in favor of storage facilities that are less expensive than commercial rental rates. Cutting advertising costs by sending postcards instead of printing and mailing brochures that could be expensive is another effective way of reducing expenses. Including a coupon will increase the effectiveness of a postcard campaign in a great way.

Using VOIP for Phone Services

Instead of using the traditional phone services that are expensive, using voice over internet protocol or VOIP services could be an inexpensive alternative for anyone. Paying lower monthly fees for long distance calls can help you cut back on a lot of spending.

Some Useful Cost Saving Strategies

Some very useful cost saving strategies and ideas for the management could be as follows:
• One can save money effectively without sacrificing quality.
• Various strategies and ideas regarding cost cutting can be developed to run the office efficiently.
• A couple of effective methods include outsourcing and selecting the right vendors.

Renting Out Furniture

Every office needs furniture. Infrastructure building is important for the improvement of any business. Instead of buying expensive furniture, you can get them on rent. Organizations having limited financial resources and tight credit would do well to buy or lease furniture.

Also, renting helps you explore your options before you buy any furniture for good and decide whether the same items should be used in the long term.

The best ways to streamline expenses in any business is to look for solutions that yield positive results. VoIP for communication and saving up on furniture and office expenses are the areas where one can effectively reduce any expenses involved in the business.

Remember- reduced expenses means increased profits.
